Towards an adaptive Software and System Architecture for Driver Assistance Systems Introducing a new approach to address dynamically changing automotive software systems

چکیده

This paper describes an approach towards an adaptive software and system architecture for driver assistance systems (DAS). Rather than assuming a static configuration of electronic control units and software components used in current automotive systems, we propose an architecture approach to handle the diversity arising from dynamically changing software configurations as they will emerge in future DAS. The main goal of our work is the exploration of a system capable of managing the heterogeneity, the high degree of distribution and the changeability of driver assistance systems for truck and trailer. Our approach basing on service oriented architecture, being dynamically orchestrated by software agents, is suggested to fulfill these demands.
